The Cole-Parmer CG-200 Freezer / Mill® cryogenic grinder (formerly SPEX 6775 Freezer/Mill) - for sample quantities from 0.1 to 5 g. The first choice for grinding very small quantities of temperature-sensitive samples or for samples that are impossible to grind at room temperature.
The entry-level model for cryogenic sample grinding, ideal for small and very small sample quantities. The sample jar is PERMANENTLY immersed in liquid nitrogen to embrittle the samples. Permanent cooling, robust mechanics and intuitive touch screen operation for maximum efficiency and durability.

The basic model in the Cole-Parmer Freezer/Mill range requires manual filling with liquid nitrogen. Continuous cooling of the sample container in liquid nitrogen, robust mechanics with only one moving part and intuitive touch screen operation ensure maximum efficiency and durability.
The Cole-Parmer CG-450 Freezer/Mill® cryogenic grinder (formerly SPEX 6875 Freezer/Mill) – including the Auto-Fill – function. The first choice for grinding sample quantities between 0.1 and 100g in the case of temperature-sensitive samples or samples that are impossible to grind at room temperature.
The sister model of the CG-400 is filled with liquid nitrogen automatically. The permanent cooling of the sample container in liquid nitrogen, the robust mechanics with only one moving part and the intuitive touchscreen operation ensure maximum efficiency and durability.
The CG-500 Freezer/Mill® is a high-throughput, dual chamber, cryogenic grinder. It accommodates samples in the 0.1 to 200g range (100g per grinding chamber). Each grinding chamber can hold one large grinding vial or four standard grinding vials. Sample vial maintains cryogenic temperatures due to continuous immersion in liquid nitrogen.
When performance matters: The top model from the Freezer/Mill series offers two grinding chambers, two pre-cooling chambers and the choice of manual or automatic filling with liquid nitrogen. The permanent cooling, the robust mechanics and the intuitive touchscreen operation ensure maximum efficiency and durability.
For cryogenic grinding of food samples up to max. 1kg per run for a representative sample.
The Cole-Parmer CG-900 Cryo-Blade Cryogenic Grinder is used to grind and homogenize a maximum of 1kg of plant or soft animal tissue under cryogenic conditions. The filling with liquid nitrogen takes place automatically, there is no direct contact with the sample or the laboratory staff. Typical grinding times are 15 minutes or less.
BEADBEATERS & HOMOGENIZER
IInexpensive entry into fast and efficient homogenization and cell lysis allowing a variety of grinding vial types of 2ml, 5ml, 7ml and 12ml - up to six vials at the same time.
The Cole-Parmer HG-200 GenoLyte® compact homogenizer allows the use of grinding vials made of plastic, stainless steel, agate or tungsten carbide. The various sample matrices are disrupted with highest efficiency using a unique horizontal figure eight grinding movement at a maximum speed of 4000 rpm.
Inexpensive entry into fast and efficient homogenization and cell lysis of temperature sensitive samples with a maximum of three 2ml vials at the same time.
The temperature-controlled Cole-Parmer HG-250 GenoLyte® compact homogenizer allows the simultaneous cell disruption of up to three temperature-sensitive samples in 2ml plastic sample vials. The various sample matrices are disrupted with highest efficiency using a unique horizontal figure eight grinding movement at a maximum speed of 3000 rpm.
The entry into high-throughput cell disruption as well as fast and efficient sample homogenization with the Cole-Parmer HG-400 MiniG® (formerly 1600 MiniG®) - simultaneous homogenization of 192 samples in 2 x 96 deep well plates or up to 6 x 50 ml tubes
Bead beating with the Cole-Parmer HG-400 MiniG® is carried out by a vertical movement that is identical at all sample positions with a maximum frequency of 1500 strokes per minute. Temperature-sensitive samples can be ground using optionally available cooling adapters.
High-throughput cell disruption as well as fast and efficient sample homogenization with the Cole-Parmer HG-600 Geno/Grinder® 2010 (formerly SPEX 2010 Geno/Grinder®) - simultaneous homogenization of 576 samples in 6 x 96 deep well plates or up to 16 x 50 ml tubes

The SPEX Genoseal 2060 semi-automatic heat sealer processes deep-well, shallow-well, low-profile deep-well, filter, and assay plates that conform to the ANSI/SLAS standard format. Sealing times for most plates are five seconds or less. Sealed plates are automatically ejected from the unit when the sealing cycle has completed.

There are two operating modes to choose from for dispensing fusion flux, either dispensing a defined amount (for ICP) or dispensing a certain flux / sample ratio (for XRF). The correct amount of flux is calculated automatically, the accuracy of dispensing is within 1 mg.

For the extremely fast size reduction of hard, medium-hard, brittle and fibrous samples to analytical fineness with the Cole-Parmer SM-200 Shatterbox® (formerly SPEX 8530 Shatterbox®). Dry or in suspension.
The Cole-Parmer SM-200 Shatterbox® enables the grinding of 2-150g sample material per run with a maximum running time of 10 minutes. Depending on the hardness of the sample, grinding dishes made of hardened steel, tungsten carbide, aluminum oxide or zirconium oxide are available. To protect the user, the device has a safety interlock, the sound insulation ensures the best possible protection against excessive noise.
